Volunteer Driver

Become a Rescue Driver—pick up and deliver bagels and baked goods on a weekly route or serve as a substitute driver when needed. Drop us a note and be sure to let us know which part of Atlanta you are in and your general availability.

Team Impact Event

Host a workshop at your office, school or community organization where you’ll learn about food waste and food insecurity and work together to package bagels for those in need. For groups looking for a change of scenery, we offer bagel delivery experiences where you can visit a variety of community partners to learn about their work.

Service Projects

Great for any size group, opportunities include: using rescued bagels and bread to make sandwiches for a local shelter in your area; bagging bagels into smaller family packs for food pantry partners; or hosting a “bag drive” to help us collect essential supplies (ideal for student organizations).

Who We Are

Bagel Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit organization supporting hunger relief by connecting restaurants with excess food–specifically bagels and baked goods–to neighbors in need. What started as one small pickup in Atlanta has grown to over 60 neighborhoods in 12 counties in the metro area and it has expanded into new cities across the Southeast. Through generous donations from local bakeries, volunteers deliver bagels to food pantries, shelters, feeding programs, and community outreach efforts. Our goal is to reduce food waste and support hunger relief, one bagel at a time.
